Winter. Pretty sure that the older I get, the more I dislike it. I used to love winter, but the past few years, I'm over it. Here's how i fight the lizard skin.
Since winter break when I started reading the Elena Ferrante novels, my weeknights have pretty much looked like this:
Hot bath with one of the Ferrante novels (or any other book...but good luck finding something better). Maybe it's all in my head, but I think Epsom salts are fantastic. For a long time, I've bought a huge bag and used them with a few drops of lavender essential oil. However, I also love bubble baths...what a dilemma. Well, problem solved when I discovered the Dr. Teal's Pure Epsom Salt Foaming Bath. Epsom salts, bubble bath, and lavender all in one. Boom.
Love and Toast Body Butter in Dew Blossom. I bought this on impulse at Lucky's a couple weeks ago. I'm LOVING it. Super light and disappears quickly. Also smells amazing. I love Love and Toast's packaging and now that I know the product is good, I'm in trouble. There are many more things I want to try!
Jojoba oil. I've been putting a few drops onto fingertips and rubbing into my face at night. The difference when I wake up is kind of miraculous. I've been using Desert Essence, which on sale at Whole Foods.
Waxelene. Have I mentioned how much I love this stuff?! It's amazing! Before bed I've been putting it on my lips and on the super dry spots on my face like around my nose.
Lastly, a few drops of lavender oil on wrists and chest. Because you can never have enough.
And there you have it.
Not included? Long underwear and fuzzy socks.
45 days until spring.
