I've been eating grapefruit lately. A yoga student (thanks so much Laura!) brought me a ton from Florida and it's wonderful. I've been making a really odd, smoothie-juice thing every morning. Here's the "recipe."
1 banana, 1/2 a grapefruit (wedged or cut off the rind), 1 green apple (peeled & quartered), a couple big pieces of fresh ginger, handful of frozen blueberries, frozen pineapple chunks, squeeze of fresh lemon, and a sprinkling of frozen chopped kale. I then throw in a few cubes of frozen fruit or vegetable juice. Lately I've been using the V8 Purple Power. Then I fill to cover all ingredients with cold water. Blend until it's super duper thin.
And drink. It is a rather unfortunate color I'm afraid, but we do what we can.
