I had a realization last night...this week is pretty much all yoga, all the time. I'm teaching 11 regular classes, a private session, and a workshop.
There is so much going on in the local yoga community right now. New studios, stores, workshops, etc. It's a lot of fun and I've been able to meet so many new people in the past couple weeks.
On Sunday I went to a demo class at Bend and Zen Hot Yoga, which opens this Saturday, July 18th. To say this studio is nice would be a gigantic understatement. It is already beautiful and construction crews were still working away! I can't wait to see it when it's completed. The studio itself is huge and decked out with the best materials, sound system, and heating/cooling. The class on Sunday (taught by Abbey Brooks), was 98 degrees and while I know hot yoga is not everyone's cup of tea, it felt great. I am very sensitive to hot yoga and usually struggle with it, but here I had no trouble at all! Abbey's class was great with new and interesting transitions, plus a kicking playlist, which is the key to my heart you know.
There is an open house this Thursday at Bend and Zen where class packages will be 20% off. I wish I could attend, but I'm teaching yoga of course....Ha!
Here in Corydon we're gearing up for the studio move! I transferred my clothes out of the walk-in to upstairs yesterday! We're planning to move the furniture this weekend. A mini-fridge has been installed for peppermint towels, dimmers for lights, benches ordered, a killer sign, etc. Bumper stickers have arrived and I'm designing new shirts now!

Last night was my second vinyasa flow class at Inner Spring in New Albany. SO FUN. This space in New Albany is so great for so many reasons. Love that so much yoga is everywhere. Check out the full New Albany class schedule here.
And there's more! On Friday, I'm headed to the Healing Arts Center of Sourthern Indiana to teach a yin /yang workshop. Click the photo above for details. I am eager to see their space and meet the yogis up there.
And lastly, I'll be teaching a class at The Inner Warrior on Frankfort Avenue next Wednesday evening, July 22nd. 7:30pm - 8:30pm. This class is donation based and again, if you'd like to ride with, let me know! And Louisville pals, I'd love to see you there!
Phew...I think that's all the yoga news I can cram into one post. I'm loving it and just savoring it all because in less than two weeks it's back to day job...
Although, I will say that I'm excited to go back...I went in yesterday to see the new paint and it looks awesome! So clean and fresh. And then next month brings Kino Macgregor at Yoga East! Woohoo!
