Y'all know I love to make resolutions. Here are links to my resolutions for the past four years:
This year though...I'm not. Things are too weird. I'm changing it up.
I always get reflective and sappy during the last week of December, but this year it's all that and something much much more. I usually relish the opportunity to make new year's resolutions, but not this year. I'm taking a cue from my favorite podcast, Two Gomers Run for their Lives. I've previously mentioned several times how much I love this show and I've been listening to it for seven years now. Instead of resolutions, they choose one word for the upcoming year that informs their behavior and intentions.
I've chosen the word DIFFERENT for 2017. In a little over 7 weeks this baby will be here...in a little over 5 weeks I'll be done working as an elementary librarian...in a little over 3 weeks a new president will be inaugurated to the utter disgust of myself and the majority of the world.
My life and the world at large will never be the same and there's no way to know what's coming. Here's to facing differences in the upcoming year.
