I had an epiphany last week while teaching. We (and by we I mean everyone who practices with me at Yoga on Ridley) are SO LUCKY. We know each other and have the incredible opportunity to come to yoga with fellow students who truly support one another where they are.
In other words, I mean that my classes are unique in that they are essentially group lessons every day. I know the students and what they want to work on and vice versa.
Yoga on Ridley is unlike any other studio I've seen or been to and that's what makes it AWESOME. For awhile, I always felt that it was "too small" or that it wasn't "real" enough.
However, I've finally realized that all the things that I initially thought were negatives are the things that make this so unique and amazing: we all know and love each other, our practices evolve and grow together, and we have so much fun.
The studio may be small (max capacity of 12 students), but that allows us to have the greatest environment with the best of the best: Manduka Pros for everybody! Cork blocks! Sand bags! Tennis balls! And lots of personal, hands on attention.
I love you all -- thank you for creating this here in good ole' Corydon.
I'm off to Asheville tomorrow for a weekend of Ayurveda education. See you Monday!
