It is so beautiful outside today and the humidity is dropping as it goes along. Thank goodness.
Not only are the yucky symptoms leftover from first trimester lifting, but I'm also feeling great relief at work. I told my principal that I will not be returning to work after baby is born. Andrew and I have discussed this way prior to getting pregnant and we always knew it was a strong possibility. There is no way I can both the studio and school with a baby...it's barely possible now! Also, I simply do not make enough money at school to justify daycare. We're also seriously considering homeschooling for elementary years and that most certainly requires someone at home.
Although I am excited, It makes me very sad. I love my job in the library so much, it was a wonderful season of life. Something else will present itself in the future and I will, of course, continue to teach yoga.
Depending on FMLA status (not sure I work enough hours yet) I may have to return in May to close out the school year, but if not, February is it for me at the library! It feels so good to have it out at work--now I can answer truthfully when people ask me about my plans.
Well...I've been going to bed around 8:00pm, so not much.
I look forward to the Bon Appetit podcast every Wednesday, but this week it was my favorite episode of the year: America's 10 Best New Restaurants. This year featured not one, but three or four different Asheville hot spots! That city is getting even crazier!
We got some new yard swag. #ImWithHer
Friday I had another doctor appointment, all good! However, she said that it would be another 8 weeks until our anatomy scan ultrasound. Needless to say, I went ahead and scheduled the early gender scan appointment. HA! I simply cannot wait until mid OCTOBER?! We find out a week from Friday. Can't wait!
Yoga started to feel a bit more normal this week. I could actually get through the standing sequence of primary series without much fuss! #babysteps
Also, I mentioned this on instagram, but OMG you guys, this is huge:
I cancelled my YogaGlo subscription.
I know...WHAT?! After the hundreds of times I've sang its praises here on the blog, I have decided to let it go for awhile. I use YogaGlo to advance my personal practice. I use for learning advanced techniques and postures that you simply can't figure out on your own. For a long time, my yoga practice was about advancing and acquiring new skills, but it's just not going to be that for awhile and that's ok. Of course, I will continue to practice every day, but I'm fairly confident my 600+ hours of teacher training will be enough to carry me through...HA!
Yesterday we went up to Indy to celebrate my great aunt Jane's 90th birthday. My uncle Gralyn did up his classic cajun shrimp boil. Shrimp all day!
Again, NOTHING. Today I will start something. Today I will start something...
