So last week I forgot to mention the other main reason I hate August: I get sick every year. I have no idea what evil plant or organism decides to show itself during this hot and horrible month, but every year it sparks a major allergy attack which results in me shuffling around the house miserable. It took me down on Friday, but feeling much better today.
It wasn't all bad though. This week, the town of Corydon was selected to be a Stellar community. This is HUGE for our town. The application process has been long and intense and we are incredibly lucky to have two women, Eva North and Catherine Turcotte, who poured themselves into this project. They are responsible for seeing this through and I cannot wait to see what it brings in the coming years!
Also attended a fabulous book club meeting yesterday during which we selected our reads for 2017...I'll share soon! I will say though that it is somewhat tortuous not being able to partake in the wine...
All the Olympics, all the time. Is it bad that I'm tired of Michael Phelps? I understand that he is amazing and this is unprecedented, but I'm sick of his face and the endless interviews featuring his adorable baby son...Boomer?!?! I told Andrew: "that's it, we've found our baby name." HA!
I haven't added any new podcasts and I'm not into new music. Just listening to the same old ones, but enjoying them nevertheless. It's nice because of the release schedule of each one I listen to, I get at least one new episode every day.
Broke down and bought a new yoga bra now that all my existing ones are too small. Blech, but whatever, I've got to embrace it because there's no turning back now. Thanks for the love Jessica and Mel! I choose a new style from lulu and it's perfect!
Doing thirty minutes of something every morning before work. I mostly have been putting on a playlist and moving around to it...yoga, handstands, stretches, dancing around mindlessly...I've set a low bar: move my body around for 30 minutes. I will hopefully become more motivated as I progress into the second trimester.
Heirloom tomatoes x 100. We are inundated from Andrew's little raised beds! We did not think the harvest would be this successful...it's been fun.
Nothing! Back on the wagon starting today...
The most beautiful library in every US state. Love this.
And again, JGL can do no wrong.
