The president-elect took to twitter Saturday morning to attack legendary civil rights icon John Lewis...it's MLK weekend. Then, after an afternoon full of pushback from appalled Democrats, Republicans, citizens, and celebrities....he doubled down and did it again.
I'd like to say that I'm speechless and have no words, but that's not true: I feel angry and betrayed by the people who elected this ignorant and mentally unstable man. I have a hard time looking at them with compassion. I'm not saying that every person who voted for him is a racist, but it is a fact that they are okay with one running the country. How do you get past that? Where do you draw the line? This isn't just politics anymore, it's about human decency. I will never understand it...will not just "get over it" and am not going to shut up. I don't care what you think about Obamacare, tax reform, gun control, immigration reform, or abortion...I care that you've condoned racism and sexual assault, which should "trump" any issue of partisan policy.
