Things are great around here and I want to check in on this Friday evening.
We are about to be inundated with tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden. We just finished a month straight of zucchini and rainbow chard. We know now that Andrew is pretty dang good at gardening and he plans to add three additional raised beds for next year!
Simon has started rice cereal and purees! Having all that baby food made is fantastic.
I have a kitchen item to recommend. I ordered this eco non-stick pan after seeing someone on IG stories (look for a blog post about stories soon) using it.
It's amazing! Best nonstick pan I've ever had.
We took advantage of all the cherries on sale and I've eaten my weight in them this week.
I have an audience during yoga now. HA!
I've been able to practice way more than I thought I would, but there are times he wakes up before I'm finished. He loves to sit and watch while chewing on various items. We have most definitely entered the "I think it's his teeth" phase. No teeth yet, but major drooling and gumming.
I will savor this brief period before he's mobile.
Playpen -- you will be my best friend.
BTW, THIS PHOTO IS THE BEST!
School starts back next week for Georgetown. It is a little sad to think I will not be there. Bittersweet for sure. So happy with what I'm doing now and wouldn't trade it, but I did love that job.
Felt it especially while browsing the children's section at Carmichael's last week. Needless to say, I love buying books for Simon, but also can't help but think "I should get this for the library!" or how much a certain student would love a particular book.
I've already been texting with the new librarian (she's awesome!) about volunteering once a week for a little bit. Help is always needed for kindergarten that's for sure.
I apologize for the incoherent rambling of this post.
And finally, a photo of Reuben and my enormous coleus. You can't even see the pots!
