Yesterday was our sweet boy's first birthday and on Friday he got his first haircut. Insane. His curls are gone (just for now hopefully) and he looks like a true toddler and no longer a baby.
We had a low key family supper last night thanks to Lotsa Pasta's lasagna and garlic bread. I did put up an epic cheese board and made a two layer cake from scratch, which for me was a true victory. It turned out alright thanks to this cookbook.
I jumped on the Oprah train and started An American Marriage by Tayari Jones this weekend. Loving it so far.
Also, the Lazy Genius killed it this week with her spring cleaning podcast. I am in the process of making up my lists and it is very meditative. HA!
ATTENTION LOCAL READERS:
This week is a big one if you are interested in supporting Dan Canon's campaign for Congress here in the ninth district. If you want to know more about Dan, come join us at his Harrison County Town Hall on Tuesday, Feb 27th at 7:00pm at the Discovery Center in downtown Corydon. Click here for more information.
Dan is a phenomenal candidate and recently received some pretty incredible national press. I couldn't be more excited to volunteer with his campaign. If you cannot make it on Tuesday, we are hosting a Day of Action the following Saturday, March 3rd. Email me asap for details: firstname.lastname@example.org
