We are at that point of the summer in which there is a different event, festival, or family gathering almost every day. Things have been full of activity around here and it's nice -- making the wait for baby not so bad.
Simon's emotions before and after tasting fruit punch for the first time...
This weekend he also got his first taste of Doritos and St. Joe picnic! Epic eating for sure.

What I've been reading...three books
Tommy Orange's novel There, There is a beautiful and incredibly well-written account of Native American life in the 21st century. I highly recommend it. While it is hard to read, Dan Pfeiffer's new book, Yes We (Still) Can, is great. He was Obama's deupty communications director and is one of the hosts of Pod Save America. It should be required reading for every Democrat right now. Pfeiffer highlights what worked in Obama's campaign and time in the White House and how to apply those priniciples going forward. If you are at all interested in getting involved with a campaign for this November, read it immediately. And finally, I sped through Hannah Pittard's new novel. It was okay.
