Ok. This was a rough news week. Sorry, but this is one of those times when I find it silly to post photos of my dogs, yoga, babies, or my beverages (haha).
I am completely disgusted by Republican lawmakers and all those that continue to support their lack of integrity. On Thursday the nation watched as a woman gave a harrowing account of sexual assault with grace, only to be followed by an angry and entitled man child who lied multiple times during his testimony. And no, I’m not just talking about his insistence of innocence, but the many times he lied about things we actually know are true.
I know I am not alone in this frustration. The country is seething and it’s the first thing discussed with nearly every woman I’ve come into contact with since Thursday. I have run out of patience with those that don’t care and refuse to understand what is happening in this country. I’ve lost patience with the daily hypocrisy of us all (myself included). It’s time to stop wringing our hands and get to work, which brings me to the only bright spot — the massive ground swell of grassroots organizing in prep for November’s election. Andrew and I are happy to be a part of that.
Also, there is now a fantastic resource for all things voting: Vote Save America. Here, in about 30 seconds, you can see if you’re registered to vote (at your current address…super important btw), check out the races in your state, etc. It’s a great tool and I highly recommend checking it out.
Thank you for reading and have a better week everyone!
