June is gone. It was a wet mess of a month with more rain than any of us wanted. It’s only in the past week or so that things feel truly like summer.
Exciting new projects in the works for local democrats including a monthly progressive playgroup and a new bookclub. If you are interested in receiving a bi-weekly newsletter from the HC Dems (me that is…haha), CLICK HERE TO SIGN-UP. This email will be short and sweet with updates on local events, news, and media recommendations.
I am also all ears to any ideas —- get in touch with me asap if you want to talk shop!
We’re going to have a lot of corn. Just saying.
I am unable to accurately express my gratitude to you for your pool.
Here’s what I read this month…Except for the Reichl book (I’ve decided she’s insufferable), I enjoyed these and definitely recommend all of them.
I also listened to The View From Saturday by E.L. Konigsburg on audiobook. Enjoyed it. I am hoping to listen to one middle grade chapter book a month. Since leaving the library, I miss these and also want to have a good backlog of titles for homeschooling.
And finally I want to include this photo snapped by dear Loretta. She was able to take this moments before the parade was called off and all of us were forced inside Mom and Dad’s for a rather chaotic house party. It gives me a lot of hope that so many people showed up despite the weather and I can’t wait until next year. Pride month will be celebrated in Harrison County from here on.
